Rhododendron 'Black Satin'
(Black Satin Rhododendron)

Light violet-purple flowers are borne in round trusses in early midseason. Plants are compact, upright, and wider than tall. Winter foliage is so deep purple, it appears to be black.

Mature Size: 3' tall x 4' wide

3 gal.- $39.50
Buxus 'Wilson'
(Northern Charm Boxwood)

Selected by Wilson Nurseries, Inc., Hampshire, Illinois, for its excellent cold hardiness, a compact, oval-rounded habit, delicate foliage and good growth rate. The semiglossy, emerald-green foliage develops an appealing bluish cast during the growing season that changes to a rich black-green during winter. The elegant texture of Northern Charm is reminiscent of Korean box. This selection will grow 3' to 4' in height with a 5' spread in 15 years and makes an outstanding choice for traditional formal hedges and border plantings. Zones 4b-8.

Buxus x 'Glencoe'
(Chicagoland Green Boxwood)

This Boxwood retains its nice green color in winter better than others and is faster growing than the popular 'Green Velvet'.  This cultivar is a Chicago Botanical Garden selection and was chosen for its cold tolerance.

Can be used in border or hedge. Place in partial shade in Northeast to protect from winter sun.

Height:  3-4'
Spread: 3-5'
