These Lilacs have been growing at Chris's West Newbury, VT home for over 10 years. It is an extensive compilation of the Genus Syringa, over 165 varieties in all! We're pleased to be able to let you view a portion of his special treasures. We carry some of these varieties at E. C. Brown's. Some are rare, others are difficult to grow, and some just aren't propagated any more. Enjoy the photos and let us know if there are varieties that may interest you.

Roses

Chris's Rose Collection

Also growing in West Newbury, these roses have survived for years in a Zone 4a climate. When Chris grows a rose, he is looking for two main criteria: hardiness and fragrance. Many of these roses have both. We carry some of these roses at the Nursery. Enjoy.
